Danish Cartoons

In solidarity with other bloggers and people around the world who believe in freedom of speech and expression, here is the link to the Danish cartoons that started it all: http://www.humaneventsonline.com/sarticle.php?id=12146

Now, compare those cartoons to the following linked Arab-language cartoons, and you'll see the difference between "hate" speech and innocuous lampoonery:

So, not only is the Muslim reaction to the cartoons psychotic and fanatic, it's also incredibly hypocritical, as this cartoon illustrates.

Once in a while I have trouble accessing LGF also. Maybe they are attacks by enemies? Charles would probably mention it...

Apparently LGF is getting heavy traffic lately because of the cartoon thing.

I brought it up last night in one of my classes. Mostly blank stares and one dude who suggested it was ethically irresponsible to publish something knowing that it would or could potentially cause violence.

Pathetic. These are our future media academics and journalists and thinkers.

But I'm the "right wing" or "conservative" asshole. In reality, I'm the classic liberal and they are fucking idiots.

I'm so pissed rightnow.
