I discovered your blog some time in the last week. I like your style :) I hope to check back regularly.
I hope that what we are seeing from our Italian friends is an irreversible, unquestioning loyalty to the defense of the ancient covenant between your people and God Almighty. I can tell you now that Australia, firm in its Judeo-Christian foundation, stands proud, prepared and vigilant in our alliance with Israel.
Just as an interesting historical side-note: did you know that the Australian Army's 10th Light Horse Regiment (the regiment featured in the film Gallipoli starring Mel Gibson) in WWI conducted the last ever successful horseback charge and seizure of an enemy-held town? It's true. And get this: do you know what town that was? The Ottoman-held Holy Land town of ... Beersheeba!
We go back a long way.
