Kissel Kar Kraze

I enjoyed talking to Lynn Kissel. He was a real character. Kissel Kars are pretty cool, too. The following is from his website, dedicated to the Kissel Kar.

The Event Gets Media Coverage
There are multiple representatives of the media at the anniversary celebration. Lynn is interviewed by Zak Mazur, a GM Today staff writer. (GM stands for Greater Milwaukee.) Zak goes on to write an article that appears online on the GM Today website, Kissel car show also a family reunion, dated June 19, 2006. Here is a PDF version of the article. This article also appears on page A3 of the June 19, 2006 issue of the Hartford/West Bend Daily News. Zak was kind enough to send Lynn a copy of the paper.

Yeah, that was so kind of me!

This will give you warm fuzzies

Here’s another EHAS about a young chap who is a flight instructor at the West Bend Airport (yes, WB has a modest little airport): http://www.dailynewsol.com/topnews06.htm.

P.S. I usually don't come up with these headlines.

P.S.S. Oops, I guess the story wasn't included with the picture and caption.

Preserving 1 culture, adopting another: Indian woman happy to live in Hartford

About once a month the staff writers at the Daily News have to write a feature called “Everybody Has A Story” (EAHS). The stories are about average Joe’s and Jane’s in Washington County. The WC is a very homogenous place, so I decided to mix things up a bit. I thought it would be interesting to highlight a non-white, non-Christian person. Since many Sikhs use the surname “Singh” (for males) and “Kaur” (for females), figured it would be easy to locate a Sikh in the phonebook. And indeed I did. There will be links to stories

For some reason I haven’t been inspired to write about what’s going on in the world, and particularly in the Middle East . Therefore, in order to keep this blog updated, I’m going to start linking to my published articles. You will probably find these stories to be boring and sometimes even stupid, but by compiling these clips I will have a handy trove of published stories that I can refer to as I hunt for jobs.
